Unofficial Waltham Election Results
Conceding the Race
I wish to share with the voters of Waltham my gratitude for their enthusiastic participation in the 2024 general election, and I would particularly like to thank all of the friends, neighbors, and Forward Party supporters who donated to or volunteered for my campaign. I would also like to thank the Republican challenger for having the courage to step into a contest and political system designed to heavily favor the Democratic incumbent in this district. Finally, I would like to offer my congratulations to the incumbent State Rep for his victory in this election. I wish Representative Stanley the best of luck as he advocates for Waltham in Beacon Hill over the next 2 years, and I look forward to challenging him again in 2026 (if he decides to run again).

Candidates Debate
I provide a summary of my responses during the Waltham State Rep Candidates Night hosted by the Waltham League of Women Voters.

Different Campaign Styles
Sean has been personally on the campaign trail, knocking doors and attending public community events in August and September.
When door knocking, Sean announces that he is in the neighborhood using the Nextdoor app.
Sean wears and carries materials clearly identifying who he is and why he is at your door.
Sean hands campaign materials to constituents directly or leaves them behind only when someone asks him to (never using a drop-and-run approach or littering).
Sean stops to listen and answer questions (if you want)

Volunteer Opportunity:
I am asking for volunteers that are willing to personally hand out 20 postcards (or more) to friends, family, or neighbors in Waltham. If you are interested please Contact Us, and I will meet you at a location convenient for you to drop off campaign materials that will set you up for success.

Riverfest, Waltham Pride, Juneteenth & the League of Women Voters
So many events in the past 2 weeks, that I almost forgot to mention the ice cream eating contest at the Waltham Fields Community Farm!
Check out what I’ve been up to over the past 2 weeks…
The Forward Party of Massachusetts
You know it’s historic when they tell you: “We don’t have a form for this.”
I helped to found the Forward Party of Massachusetts today, getting us across the starting line by obtaining official recognition as a political designation.
Memorial Day, Door Knocking, and the Green Space Blues Jam
Sean attended (but didn’t campaign at) the Waltham Memorial Day ceremony. Since then, he’s been knocking on doors and has sponsored the Green Space Blues Jam event hosted by the Waltham Land Trust on Sunday, June 9th at 2-5pm.
Extended: Support for Waltham Non-Profits
The Committee to Elect Sean Diamond is sponsoring the Green Space Blues Jam to support the Waltham Land Trust.
Update: Extending candidate pledge to support other Waltham Non-Profits until the Juneteenth Holiday!
River Walk & Steampunk Festival
Today I attended the free, public guided walking tour hosted by the Waltham Land Trust, and I enjoyed the festivities at the annual Steampunk Festival.
Door-Knocking & Debate Schedule
Open Letter to Waltham League of Women Voters (and the other State Rep candidates).
Also, I spent 2 hours door knocking in Ward 3-1 on Cinco-de-Mayo.
Kicking off phase 2 of the campaign
This week on the campaign: fundraising, volunteering, and raising awareness about the Massachusetts Forward Party!
Supporting Waltham Non-Profits
In an attempt to help Waltham residents even before Election Day, I’m pledging to donate $1 of my own money (up to $2000) in June to the following non-profits for every $10 donated to the Committee to Elect Sean Diamond between Earth Day and Memorial Day…
